You've been caught up in the cycle of birth and death for countless eons endlessly suffering the pangs of material existence. There is no need for you to continuously go on punishing yourself in this way. It's time now for you to break free from your conditioning and come back to your original pure identity in the transcendental realm situated far, far beyond the realm of ignorance and misery. Stop artificially trying to be the center of the universe, which you are not. Come back to your original position as the dedicated servant of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is the source of all existence.

Question: Does One's Name Affect His Destiny?

Dear Gurudeva,
Please accept my humble obeisances.

Thank you for your love and compassion for all of us. You are so kind for us, by spreading this everyday Krishna's message full of bliss and knowledge. Could you answer some questions for me?

1. In Latin language there is a phrase, "Nomen est omen," which means that one's name is a sign of his destiny. So should a person live his life in accordance with the meaning of his name? 

2. The Bhagavad-gita says that one can reach Krishna no matter what is his social position. But Lord Caitanya said that a pure devotee shouldn't go to rich kings' houses. So can rich kings reach the highest perfection if a pure devotee is not allowed to association with them. 

3. How should we all co-operate for pleasing His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada?

Answer: If He Is Named As Krishna's Servant

If one is named as Krishna's servant and he lives in accordance with his name, he will indeed by blessed by the power of his spiritual name and achieve the highest spiritual perfection. When the spiritual master initiates a disciple he gives him a new name such as "Krishna Das" or "Govinda Das" to remind the disciple that he is the servant of Krishna. The disciple should always act in accordance with this name by always engaging himself in the service of Krishna. His spiritual name is so powerful that simply by remembering his spiritual name at the time of death he will go back home, back to Godhead.

Although, normally to keep ourselves pure we avoid the association of materialists, for the sake of preaching we can approach anyone and everyone, even rich kings, to save them from the cycle of repeated birth and death.

To please Srila Prabhupada we should develop feelings of love for Krishna and we should flood this planet with Srila Prabhupada's books in every home, every government building, and every educational institution.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
