Our Movement Can Truly Save the World

We cannot stand to see a world which is degrading more and more every day into a condition which is lower than the animals. It breaks our hearts to see how much the people have become confused and misguided. The current world situation is a poignant reconfirmation of the famous saying of Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur: "This material world is a not fit place for a gentleman's residence." We are not content to sit idly by while the entire human society becomes more and more corrupted and exploited. Therefore we have dedicated our lives to the non-sectarian mission of reviving the dormant love of Godhead that is currently sleeping in the hearts of all living beings. It is only through this spiritual awakening that people can become truly happy and the world situation can be turned around for the better. The lying, cheating politicians can do nothing to help the people. This Krishna consciousness movement can truly save the world.

Answer: If There is a Strong Enough Interest

Several years ago I was very happy to give an evening lecture in New York at 26 2nd Ave, the sacred place where ISKCON was born in 1966. If there is a strong enough interest from the devotees in New York to nicely promote my lecture and to cover my airfare and accommodations, I would definitely like to come back to lecture and lead kirtan again at 26 2nd Ave, the most sacred place in the entire universe.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
