Sri Vrindavan--the Ultimate Abode of Sweetness

Sri Vrindavan Dhama is the holiest of all holy places, the ultimate abode of sweetness, because it is here that Lord Sri Krishna eternally engages in most sublime sarva-rasa-sāra, the quintessence of all ecstatic mellows, parakīyā-bhāva, accepting the loving service of the gopis in the mood of paramourship. This highest of all rasas is only manifest in the ultimate realm of Vrindavan. Even though Lord Caitanya was a strict sannyasi who never associated with women, he stated:

ramyā kācid upāsanā vrajavadhū-vargeṇa yā kalpitā

"There is no comparison of the method of worship which was adopted by the damsels of Vraja."

Therefore taking advantage of the special mercy available in this topmost of all holy places I am humbly bowing down flat on the ground in the sacred Vrindavan dust and begging the Supreme Lord and His pure devotees to bestow upon me pure prema bhakti.

Question: Accepting Milk from Cruelty Dairies

My dear Srila Gurudeva.

Please accept my humble obeisances at Your Lotus Feet.
All glories to You and Gurumata.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Recently I watched an ISKCON documentary about animals killing for food. I was shocked to see that even for milk, cows are being tortured. Industrial machines are being used without any mercy to remove the milk from cows. I would like to know whether we will get karma while drinking the milk.

Thank you.

Answer: Benefit of Milk Being Offered to Krishna

It is better to only take milk from devotee farms. But because we are required to give milk and milk preparations to the deities and because we need milk for the proper development of our brains for spiritual understanding, we need to accept milk even if it is not from a devotee dairy. The cows, even at a cruelty farm, who give their milk to Krishna will be greatly benefitted. If we do not offer the milk from we drink from such dairies to Krishna, we will suffer very heavy karmic reactions. But if we offer the milk to Krishna, we will not get any karma, rather we will get spiritual progress, and the cow will be greatly benefitted.
