Become Delivered by Your Tongue

One of the greatest impediments on the path of spiritual is becoming waylaid by the urges of the tongue. The tongue is attracted to eat anything and everything, even if it not good for the body and not conducive for spiritual progress. It is also attracted to vibrate anything and everything, even if the topic is not favorable for self-realization. Therefore Srila Rupa Goswami states that devotional service begins the tongue. One should purify his tongue by only tasting Krishna prasadam and by only vibrating the glories of the Lord and whatever is necessary for the Lord's service. If one engages his tongue in this way, he will make rapid progress on the path of ultimate self-realization, Krishna consciousness. And besides that there is nothing more relishable than tasting Krishna prasadam or glorifying the amazing Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
