Exciting, Thrilling Adventure at Every Minute

As long as we base our happiness on the connection of our material senses with the their corresponding objects of gratification, there's no way that we can experience genuine happiness because our material senses are different from us. They are simply external coverings of the self. Just as we cannot satisfy our hunger by dipping our shirt sleeve into a bowl of soup, similarly there is no amount of material sense gratification which can give real happiness to the self. It is only when we, the eternal spiritual beings, connect with the Supreme Person, the source of all existence, that we come back to our original enlightened state in which we experience an exciting, thrilling adventure at every moment.

Question: Where is the Intelligence Situated?

Intelligence is considered an attribute of the human brain, which is merely a physical organ. Since mind is beyond the brain, how come the intelligence is above the mind?

The Supersoul is located in the region of the human heart. Where is the individual soul located in the human body? As per astanga yoga, the individual soul is situated in the center of the forehead above the two eyebrows.

Answer: Intelligence is Subtle. It's Not in the Brain.

Those who consider intelligence to merely be a function of the human brain are not intelligent. Intelligence is beyond the physical brain. It is a a subtle element that exists outside of the human brain.

Regarding the location of the soul, to say, "As per astanga yoga" is not authoritative. You must give the scriptural reference. According to scriptural reference (Mundaka Upanisad 3.1.9) the soul is seated in the heart:

eṣo 'ṇur ātmā cetasā veditavyo
yasmin prāṇaḥ pañcadhā saṁviveśa
prāṇaiś cittaṁ sarvam otaṁ prajānāṁ
yasmin viśuddhe vibhavaty eṣa ātmā

"The soul is atomic in size and can be perceived by perfect intelligence. This atomic soul is floating in the five kinds of air (prana, apana, vyana, samana, and udana) is situated within the heart, and spreads its influence all over the body of the embodied living entities. When the soul is purified from the contamination of the five kinds of material air, its spiritual influence is exhibited."
