You Are Not of the World

There is no need to be in anxiety if this world is getting you down. In fact, it is a blessing to remind you that you are not of this world. So, don't let it bring you down. Instead celebrate the fact that you are a citizen of the spiritual world where life is eternal, full of knowledge, and full of bliss.

We were in state of transcendental love and bliss serving Lord Sri Krishna in His transcendental abode. But somehow or other circumstantially we fell down into this material, just like someone is walking down the road but accidentally slips and falls down by stepping on a banana peel. Now all we have to do is pick ourselves up by chanting the Hare Krishna mantra. This will bring us back to our original home.

Transcendental Correspondence

Hare Krishna Gurudev,

Please accept my humble obesiences.

Gurudev, you answered in one the QnA that 'true love' doesn't exist. I've spent majority of my life seeking true love. The closer I got, the clearer I saw that true love may be a myth. Your answer was an affirmation. However, the desire to have a genuine companion haunts me.

I have two questions.

How do I let go of this deepest desire to find true love?

Could you please talk about love between Radha and Krishna?

On current modern platforms, it is being heavily romanticized. Is that right? I myself idealized their relationship. Now that I see myself failing and constantly feeling hurt due to broken dreams. How do I exit?

My Dear KP,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Krishna truly loves us. But the problem is that we remain selfish. Even though He has fully given Himself to us we do not reciprocate by fully giving ourselves to Him. This why we feel frustrated and miserable, lacking the happiness of being in a state of true love.

Radha has fully given herself to Krishna and thus she relishes how Krishna has fully given Himself to her. We are meant to follow her example by fully giving ourselves to Krishna. This is why when we chant the Hare Krishna mantra
we first call out to Radharani begging her mercy by chanting
“Hare.”

Instead of falling in love with a person in this material world,
which a world of the cheaters and the cheated, we should
instead fall in love with Krishna, the Supreme Personality of
Godhead. Just as when you water the root of a tree, all the leaves and branches are nourished, when you give your love fully to Krishna you will experience true love 24 hours a day in all times, places, and circumstances and thus derive unlimited, ever-increasing happiness for all of eternity. In this way we will be able to manifest true love in all of our dealings with all living beings. This will greatly benefit them and unlimitedly satisfy us.

Is it now clear to you how to be happy by always experiencing true love?

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
