Today We Are Heading Out to India

Today Guru Mataji and I are heading out to the holy land of India. This is most important holy place where Krishna Himself appeared in different incarnations and so many thousands of great saints and sages have taken their birth. Even politically India was of topmost importance. The entire earth planet was formally one nation known as Bharat-varsa and its capital was Hastinapur, which is now New Delhi.

In this connection Srila Prabhupada describes follows:

"Yes, the dominant nation is, it is connected with the absolute truth that up to Mahārāja Parīkṣit, five thousand years ago, the king of Hastināpur, they were dominating the whole world. Because Mahārāja Parīkṣit, Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira were actually representing God, therefore their domination was possible. Now, that being lost, there are so many small states, they are not God conscious, therefore fighting each other, that's all, like cats and dogs. But it is a fact that the Vedic culture kings like Mahārāja Rāmacandra, Mahārāja Prthu, Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira, Mahārāja Parīkṣit, and later on some other kings also, they were actually representative of God, so there was no trouble. One king was ruling all over the world."

 Sadly, now India has turned away from its rich heritage and has become a beggar nation running after Western technology. Our Krishna consciousness movement wants to bring Krishna consciousness back to India so India can be restored to its former glory.

Of course, there is no harm with Western technology it if used in Krishna's service. So, let us now combine the material advancement of the West with the spiritual advancement of India. In this way a new dawn of peace and prosperity will become manifested all over the world.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
