Relishing Sri Vrindavan Dhama

Now we are back in Lord Sri Krishna's transcendental abode here in this material world. What could be more ecstatic than this? This transcendental abode is non-different from Lord Sri Krishna. So to be here in Sri Vrindavan dhama is to be in direct contact with Lord Sri Krishna at every minute. In this connection Srila Prabhupada has written as follows:

"Akrura's journey to Vrindavana is exemplary. One who intends to visit Vrindavana should follow the ideal footsteps of Akrura and always think of the pastimes and activities of the Lord. As soon as one reaches the boundary of Vrndavana, he should immediately smear the dust of Vrindavana over his body without thinking of his material position and prestige. Srila Narottama dasa Thakura has sung in a celebrated song, visaya chadiya kabe suddha habe mana: 'When my mind will be purified after leaving the contamination of material sense enjoyment, I shall be able to visit Vrindavana.' Actually, one cannot go to Vrindavana by purchasing a ticket. The process of going to Vrindavana is shown by Akrura."

While lecturing in Vrindavana Srila Prabhupada explained:

"This is tattva, truth, that Krishna, the Supreme Person, His holy name, His form, His attributes, His pastimes, His paraphernalia, His dhama... Just like we are in Vrindavana-dhama. So why Vrindavana-dhama is worshiped? Because the Vrindavana-dhama is not different from Krishna. When you take little dust of Vrindavana-dhama and take it, that means you are taking the dust of Krishna's lotus feet, and you take it. Vrindavana-dhama, so important."

By taking advantage of this most auspicious holy dhama we can make great spiritual advancement.

Presently we are living in the material, which is the world of problems. In this world the problems of birth, death, old age, disease, etc. will always be going on and torturing us in so many ways. Thus the only way to get free from this myriad of problems is to go back to our original home in the spiritual world, where life is eternal, full of bliss, and full of knowledge. To qualify yourself to go back to your original home in the spiritual world you have to fully surrender yourself to God, to the Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Sri Krishna. The art of how to surrender to Krishna is taught by the bona fide spiritual master. So now you should become the fully dedicated student of the bona fide spiritual master because he will train you in the art of how to become free from all problems for all of eternity by regaining your original identity in that most wondrous Spiritual Sky.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
