Heading Out on a Lecture Tour
It has never been so painful for me to head out on another one of our international lecture tours. I usually look forward to them with great relish.
Why the difference? Things are developing so wonderfully now in our Austin center that it is practically unthinkable for me to leave. But duty calls. Lord Sri Krishna has blessed me with disciples all over the world, and it is my sacred duty to take good care of them. Therefore we are traveling. Not only has Srila Prabhupada ordered me to make our Austin center a grand success. He has also ordered us to lead the whole world out of chaos by bringing the whole world to Krishna consciousness. So somehow or other both duties must go on side by side. I am begging for Lord Sri Krishna's help in this regard.
What mantra does Lord Brahma, Lord Shiva and Narada Muni chant while meditating?
Your servant,
Ravi
My Dear Ravi,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
They all chant the Hare Krishna mantra as explained below in the following bhajan by Bhaktivinode Thakur:
1) Oh, what a wonderful name Lord Nityananda has brought! Nitai has brought the divine name to the Marketplace of the Holy Name, and He is giving away that name for the mere price of your faith! Oh!
2) Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare-Oh!
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare-Oh!
3) Oh, seeing the miserable condition of the fallen souls of this world, Nitai
has personally brought the holy name from the transcendental realm of Vraja! Oh, Lord Siva chants this holy name with his five mouths! This holy name is so sweet! Oh, Lord Brahma chants this holy name with his four mouths! This holy name is so sweet! Oh, Narada Muni chants this holy name while playing on his vina! This holy name is so sweet! Oh, just by the dim reflection of this holy name, the sinful Ajamila went to Vaikuntha! Bhaktivinoda therefore says, "Oh, continuously chanting this holy name, go at once to the divine realm of Vraja! This holy name is so sweet!"
I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
