How to Make the World Happy

Srila Prabhupada has to kindly taught us how to make the world happy. Here is how he revealed this to us in a lecture he gave in Mayapur, India on 1 April 1975:

Prabhupada: So Vaikuntha-loka is there. There is no problem. But you can make this maya-loka also Vaikuntha-loka by spreading Krishna consciousness, the same quality. Just like iron is iron, but you can make it fire. How? Simply putting it into the fire. Gradually, warm, warmer, then it becomes red hot. At that time, the iron is no longer iron; it is fire. Similarly, if you can propagate Krishna consciousness constantly, then, by spreading this Krishna consciousness movement, you can make the whole world Krishna conscious, and then it will be Vaikuntha. The same example: You put the iron rod with the fire, and it becomes hot, hotter and then red hot. When it is red hot then it is no more iron rod; it is fire. Anywhere you touch, it will burn.

So our Krishna consciousness movement is for that purpose. Increase Krishna consciousness and there will be no more kuntha, no more anxiety. People are trying to be anxiety-less, and that is only possible by this movement. Put always in touch with Krishna. And the method is very simple: Hare Krishna.

Devotees: Hare Krishna!

Prabhupada: That's all. If you keep yourself in touch with Hare Krishna... We have already been known as Hare Krishna people all over the world, Hare Krishna people. So increase this population Hare Krishna people, and it will be Vaikuntha. Thank you very much.

for those who accept this job. But the reward is truly unlimited because by doing so you will become very, very dear to Lord Krishna as the Lord Himself confirms in the Bhagavd-gita, Chapter 18, Texts 68 and 69:

ya idaṁ paramaṁ guhyaṁ
mad-bhakteṣv abhidhāsyati
bhaktiṁ mayi parāṁ kṛtvā
mām evaiṣyaty asaṁśayaḥ

na ca tasmān manuṣyeṣu
kaścin me priya-kṛttamaḥ
bhavitā na ca me tasmād
anyaḥ priyataro bhuvi

Translation: "For one who explains this supreme secret to the devotees, pure devotional service is guaranteed, and at the end he will come back to Me. There is no servant in this world more dear to Me than he, nor will there ever be one more dear.”

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
