Question: How to Become Prideless?
Hare Krishna Srila Gurudeva

Srila Gurudeva, kindly clarify few queries on pridelessness.
I was reading in Nectar of Devotion 18, on pridelessness, how when King Bhagīratha became Vaisnava, he lived like mendicant and used to beg door to door even to their enemies. And it was written that insult will be there, but they tolerate it. How do they do that?
One may tolerate but may be disturbed in mind, but how does one tolerate without getting agitated?
When they live that way, are they recognised by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu more because of their meek and humble nature?
By this attitude how can one glorify their Spiritual Master, how can one represent their Spiritual Master?
Thank you

My Dear Lila Manjari,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
If one is truly humble, he will see that whatever insults or chastisements he receives is only a slight token, an infinitesimal minimization of what he actually deserves.
Lord Caitanya bestows unlimited mercy at every minute on such genuinely humble devotees.
Such humble devotees perfectly represent and glorify their spiritual master by their every thought, word, and deed in all times places and circumstances.
Such pure souls are also fully empowered to point the faults in others and therefore out of compassion upon the fallen souls of this Kali yuga they perform the austerity of preaching work to save the fallen souls of this age from their ever-increasing degradation. Such humble souls are qualified to lead the entire world out of chaos.
I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.
