Leaving the Kingdom of God

We were originally situated in a state of pure bliss and knowledge in that most wondrous spiritual sky where no one gets sick, no one gets old, ands no one ever dies. But due to a foolish desire to be the Supreme we were facilitated by Lord Sri Krishna by residence in a world where everyone thinks himself to be the Supreme. Now if we are at all intelligent, even slightly intelligent, we will take advantage of Krishna's offer to qualify ourselves to back to His most sublime kingdom by taking shelter of the bona fide spiritual master to be properly trained in the mood of devotion.

Question: Why the Supreme Lord Put Us In This World?

Salutations,

I will like to know our purpose on this earth as humans. If we are to be with the Supreme Lord, then why did He put us in this world? Also what's our true purpose in this world? I believe God should have just left us with Himself where He is.

Thank you,

Answer: We Came Here Out of Our Desire

From: ISKCON Austin, Texas USA

My Dear Mary-Ann,

Please accept my blessings.

Thank you very much for your sincere inquiry.

We are in this material world because we decided that we did not want to serve God. We came here to satisfy our own foolish desire to try to enjoy separately from God.

God does not keep anyone as prisoners in His world. Everyone is free to stay there or leave according to their own desire.

Once we realize our foolish mistake of leaving God’s kingdom He mercifully gives us full facility to return to our original home. Unfortunately most people in this material world make the foolish mistake of wanting to stay here in his lane of birth and death because they are attached to illusory so-callede enjoyments of this world such as illicit sex, meat eating, intoxication, and gambling.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.
Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
