Entering Into Lord Caitanya's Pastimes

Whenever we take long international flights we observe how all around us our fellow passengers are so much absorbed in watching movies. Cinema is a huge, global, multi-million dollar industry. People all over the world watch movies seeking some imaginary adventure to fill in what they are missing in their otherwise boring, dull, hum drum lives. On the other hand the devotees of the Lord who have fully embraced the revolutionary-flood-the-universe-with-mercy attitude as taught by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu feel no attraction for such movies because they live at every moment in a super-movie which is millions and billions of times more exciting than any film produced by Hollywood or Bollywood. Once one has a gotten taste for that which is unlimitedly nectarine he is no longer attracted by the gross, nasty, disgusting things that may have previously captivated his consciousness. Factually when one full embraces the sankirtana movement of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu his life's activities become an integral of Lord Caitanya's pastimes.

Question: How to See Krishna?

Your Grace,

Please accept my humble obeisances.

In my limited understanding I believe I have read somewhere that a pure devotee of Lord Krishna and fully immersed in devotional service will see Krishna face to face. He will have a direct experience of the Lord and this experience will situate him more fully in Krishna consciousness.

I have hoped for most of my life to see God. Seeing Lord Krishna would set aside so many doubts and worries for me. With such proof of God's existence, I would have no insecurities and fears about death and the right religious and spiritual path to choose to follow. What does one have to do to see God face to face?

Your bold and unworthy servant,
Gregory

Answer: By Undivided Devotional Service

Lord Krishna explains in the Bhagavad-gita (11.54) how we can become qualified to see Him face to face:

"My dear Arjuna, only by undivided devotional service can I be understood as I am, standing before you, and can thus be seen directly. Only in this way can you enter into the mysteries of My understanding.”

This means that you must fully absorb all of your thoughts, words, and deeds in all times, places and circumstances in the service of Lord Sri Krishna. This art is learned and mastered under the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master.
