We have gotten this rare human form of life after millions of births in the lower species. If we do not utilize it properly, we will go back down into the lower species after we finish this current lifetime. Therefore the only intelligent way to live is to dedicate our lives fully to the self-realization process so that we can get out this material existence and return to the spiritual world as soon as possible. If we explain this to the atheist class, they will laugh at us, considering us to be foolish religionists. But they won't be laughing when they are dragged at their time of death by the Yamadutas to the hellish regions of the universe for punishment.

It's difficult to surrender to Krishna because there are so many conditions. The "don'ts' are too difficult. Is there any other way out of the material world besides surrendering to Krishna?

Answer: Liberation Requires Surrender

Will you not drive a car because there are so many rules and regulations of the road: stop signs, speed limits, traffic lights, etc? Our regulative principles are called the regulative principles of freedom because they liberate us from all miseries. If you will study carefully the two options you have in life: surrendering to Krishna or not surrendering to Krishna, you will find that surrendering to Krishna is much easier than not surrendering to Krishna. So now use your intelligence and do the needful.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
