Pathetic Condition of Human Civilization

It is now for the last 5,000 years the Kali Yuga, the age of quarrel and hypocrisy. In this most degraded age the status of the human civilization has become absolutely pathetic. They have become so much lost and bewildered by material sense gratification that for them to come out of illusion and come to the liberated position of spiritual realization is practically impossible. But still we must try to save them. This is our duty. Our great hope is that by the inconceivable mercy of Sri Guru and Gauranga the impossible becomes possible. Thus we have strong faith that they can be saved.

Question: How Much Conviction is Required?

Dear Srila Gurudeva,

What extent of conviction do we require to convince other to come to Krishna consciousness? How do we know how much conviction we have, and how do we to increase it?

Is conviction also always increasing and increasing unlimitedly?

Answer: Even a Little Conviction Can Work Wonders.

Even if you have only a tiny little bit conviction, still you can convince others to come to Krishna conscious. For example Srila Prabhupada was introduced to his spiritual master by his childhood friend, Narendranath Mullik, who did not become a devotee.

The barometer of how much conviction you have is how much do experience the person Krishna when you vibrate His name “Krishna.” Krishna is fully present in His name. To what extent do you personally experience Him? To increase your conviction, read all of Srila Prabhupada’s books again and again throughout your entire life. What he has written is so powerful that even an atheist will be convinced that Krishna is God and that he must surrender to Him.

As long as maintain your initiation vows of regularly chanting at least 16 rounds of Hare Krishna japa mala every day without fail and strictly avoiding illicit sex, meat eating, intoxication, and gambling--your conviction will wonderfully continue increasing more and more forever.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
