Full Faith in Sri Guru and Krishna
To be successful on the ultimate self realization path of Krishna bhakti one must have unflinching, unwavering faith in guru and Krishna. This is confirmed as follows in the Svetasvatara Upanishad 6.23:
yasya deve parā bhaktir
yathā deve tathā gurau
tasyaite kathitā hy arthāḥ
prakāśante mahātmanaḥ
"Only unto one who has unflinching faith in both the Lord and the spiritual master are all the imports of Vedic knowledge automatically revealed."
As soon as we come to this position of full faith in Sri Guru and Krishna we become unlimitedly peaceful and happy. Bring yourself to this platform as soon as possible. You'll love it!

Question: Should I Only Hear According to My Level of Practice?
Srila Gurudeva, should we only listen lectures up to the points that we can follow the instructions given in them? For example, if I cannot follow all the regulations/directions then is it better I should not hear continuously or ask to you, my spiritual master. In other words, should I only listen to what I can practice and not hear what I cannot practice? Some devotees have put this forward this to me.Your lowly servant,

Answer: If You Do So, You Will Stagnate.
Hear everything and always increase your degree of following. They have given you bad advice. If they remain in their comfort zone of only hearing to the level of how much they are currently able to follow, instead of always pushing themselves to a higher and higher standard of practice, they will eventually lose their taste for Krishna consciousness and go away. In this connection you should always remember that flowing water stays fresh while still water goes stagnant. So you should never let your Krishna consciousness go stagnant by refusing to hear how you can expand your Krishna consciousness.Sankarshan Das Adhikari
