Krishna Wanders on the Bank of the Yamuna

12 November 2025: I was very happy to go the bank of the Yamuna at Chir Ghat, the place where Krishna stole the clothes of the gopis. It was amazing experience to be by the Yamuna out in the country side where there were no signs of the Kali Yuga on either side of the river. In that most sacred spot I was remembering the beautiful bhajan by Bhaktivinode Thakur that Srila Prabhupada taught us to sing every day:

jaya rādhā-mādhava kuƱja-bihārī
gopī-jana-vallabha giri-vara-dhārī
jaśodā-nandana, braja-jana-raƱjana,
jāmuna-tīra-vana-cārī

All glories to Rādhā and Mādhava (Krishna), who enjoy loving pastimes in the groves of Vį¹›ndāvana. Krishna is the beloved of the gopÄ«s, the cowherd maidens of Vraja, and the lifter of Govardhana Hill. He is the darling son of Mother Yaśodā and the delight of all the inhabitants of Vraja. He wanders joyfully through the forests along the banks of the Yamunā River.

Seeing the forest on the bank of Yamuna I was seeing with my own eyes the wandering ground for Krishna. And I knew that those whose eyes are fully decorated with love can see Him wandering in that forest even today in 2025.

I pray for that day when I am fully qualified to directly see Krishna standing before me engaged in His transcendental pastimes. May that day come soon. May that day come soon.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
