I Am Now Residing in Aniyor Village

I am now residing at a devotee ashram in Aanyor (Aniyor) up until 15 November, 400 meters from the Govardhan Parikrama Marg. This is a famous place of Lord Krishna's "anniyor" pastime. Sri Jiva Goswami has very nicely described this pastime in his book, Gopala Campu as follows:

“From Govardhana Hill a large form of Govardhana manifested. All the Vrajavasis along with Krishna Himself then offered obeisances to that towering form. As Sri Krishna stood by with folded hands, that great personality Govardhana bellowed, 'I shall eat all your offerings.' He ate and drank water by emptying all the kundas around the hill. While eating all the preparations made by the Vrajavasis with his right hand, he snapped the fingers on his left hand. The cowherd men ran out of the way when Govardhana stretched out His hands to take more and called out, Aniyor! Aniyor! Aniyor! 'bring more, bring more, bring more.' “

Līlā-smaraṇam, remembering the pastimes of Lord Krishna, can make us spiritually perfect. Thus to reside in such a place empowers us and blesses us with līlā-smaraṇam.

Here’s what Srila said about practicing Krishna consciousness:

Where is the difficulty to finish the Kṛṣṇa consciousness business? If Kṛṣṇa is explaining Himself, what He is, then where is your difficulty? Kṛṣṇa is explaining Himself in the Bhagavad-gītā, Kṛṣṇa is sending His representative ācārya to teach you, and Kṛṣṇa is within yourself trying to teach you if you are actually serious. Then where is the difficulty? Inside, outside, always, books, knowledge—He is prepared. So where is the difficulty to make yourself perfect in Kṛṣṇa consciousness? There is no difficulty at all. Provided you are serious, you can become fully Kṛṣṇa conscious in this very life.

There are so many differing opinions about how to practice Krishna consciousness in ISKCON, that if you base your practice on the opinions of others you will go crazy. So just stick to the instructions you receive from you spiritual master and what you read in Srila Prabhupada's books and you will be nicely situated on the pathway back to home, back to Godhead.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
