Just Give Your Love to Krishna
October 21, 2025
Some of the devotees I first associated said, "We have to the follow the higher authorities." This did not attract me to Krishna consciousness because it sounded like joining the military. This really turned me off big time. But then I met His Holiness Vishnujana Swami, who had a completely different preaching style. He said, "Just give your love to Krishna," and he showed us how to do it by signing very sweetly with love for Krishna. This was wonderful. This was something I relate to. Under the guidance of this great saint I eagerly took to the path of Krishna consciousness.Sankarshan Das Adhikari
P.S. Below is the first time I heard him singing. He had personally invited me to feast program on a Sunday afternoon in Austin's Pease Park. For the details of the wonderful event you can read my memoir:

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
All glories to Śrīla Gurudeva and Gurumātājī.
Śrīla Gurudeva, I am deeply grateful for everything You have given me in this life, especially the opportunity to serve the Lord and remain connected to devotional service through Your mercy.
Unfortunately, I am unable to visit You in Vṛndāvana this year. I humbly pray for Your blessings so that I may certainly come and have Your darśan next year.
Gurudeva, I seek clarification on something I heard from Gurumātājī during yesterday’s Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam class. She mentioned that one should always offer obeisances or fall on the left side of Śrīla Prabhupāda or Kṛṣṇa, and that it is offensive to do so on the right side. The connection was unstable at that moment, so I could not hear the full explanation. Could Your Grace kindly explain the reason behind this, as I wish to understand the proper etiquette in worship and service?
Humbly awaiting Your guidance, Śrīla Gurudeva.

Answer
My Dear Acyuta,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Regarding bowing down, Revatinandan das gives this remembrance from Srila Prabhupada’s pastimes:
We were brought into the Durga temple. This one was new, the deity was new, she was nicely dressed and nicely worshipped. When we came into the room, I remember Prabhupada said, “Do just exactly like I do.” And when Prabhupada came before the deity of the demigod, he bowed down before the demigod just like you’d bow down before the Radha-Krishna altar; but instead of putting his left side toward the altar, he put his right side toward the altar. He said, “When you bow down before a demigod, you keep the demigod on your right. The understanding is your spiritual master is in front of you and Radha and Krishna are on your left. So you’re still bowing to Radha and Krishna and your guru, but you’re also offering respect to the demigod at the same time. And that’s how you offer respects to a demigod, with your right-hand side toward the altar.” In other words, he was respectful to Durga but he didn’t want her worshipped in the same way that we would worship Radha and Krishna, so that’s the distinction.
I hope this meets you in the best of health and in a cheerful mood.
Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari

How I Came to Krishna Consciousness
In a world obsessed with money, fame, and fleeting pleasures—leading nowhere but to the grave or the crematorium—I walked away. Life felt so meaningless, I couldn’t stand it. This is the true story of how I turned my back on the American materialistic dream and discovered something far greater: Krishna consciousness. A gripping journey of inner revolution and a call to awaken a world civilization on the edge of collapse.Read My Memoir You'll Love It!
