Back to Home, Back to Vrindavan

October 22, 2025

After many days of super ecstatic preaching in Trivandrum we are now back in Vrindavan, the holiest of all places. Srila Prabhupada said that Vrindavan is his home. Since Lord Sri Krishna had unlimited pastimes here 5,000 years ago walking everywhere with His lotus feet, every particle of dust here is unlimitedly sacred and bestows unlimited blessings upon His devotees. When I first arrived here as soon I got out of the car I got down on the ground and offered my obeisances to Sri Vrindavan Dhama taking its sacred dust on my head.

In this regard Srila Prabhpada said:

Just like we are in Vṛndāvana-dhāma. So why Vṛndāvana-dhāma is worshiped? Because the Vṛndāvana-dhāma is not different from Kṛṣṇa. When you take little dust of Vṛndāvana-dhāma and take it, that means you are taking the dust of Kṛṣṇa's lotus feet, and you take it. Vṛndāvana-dhāma, so important. (From lecture on Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 6.2.14 -- given on September 17, 1975, in Vṛndāvana

Vrindavan is so auspicious that even breathing the air here one makes spiritual advancement. This is because it the air contains Vrindavan dust. And whatever devotional service we do here gives us 1,000 times the result.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada, to you, and to Guru Mataji.

I have the following question:

If a person feels envy toward another person, does that mean he is actually envious of Krishna?

Please kindly enlighten me.

Your insignificant servant,
Gaurav

Answer

From: Sri Vrindavan Dhama

My Dear Gaurav,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Yes, all the envy that we experience in this material world is a manifestation of the root cause of all envy, envy of Lord Sri Krishna.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in a cheerful mood.

Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari

How I Came to Krishna Consciousness

In a world obsessed with money, fame, and fleeting pleasures—leading nowhere but to the grave or the crematorium—I walked away. Life felt so meaningless, I couldn’t stand it. This is the true story of how I turned my back on the American materialistic dream and discovered something far greater: Krishna consciousness. A gripping journey of inner revolution and a call to awaken a world civilization on the edge of collapse.
