Here's How to Become Deathless
26 June 2025
In this material world, everyone is trying to do whatever they can to eliminate death or postpone death. But all of their attempts will be failures because our death is determined according to our past karma. However, if one comes to the platform of Krishna consciousness, then he's free from bodily identification, and he actually becomes deathless. He enters into the liberated state of deathlessness. So, this is the most intelligent thing we can do, to become Krishna conscious and thus become free from the anxiety of death.Another point is that for a devotee, since Krishna has freed him from his karma, his time of leaving the body is no longer under the laws of karma but is determined by the sweet will of Lord Sri Krishna according to when Krishna wants to bring him back to his original identity in the His pastimes in the spiritual world.
Our factual deathlessness is confirmed by Lord Sri Krishna in the Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 2, Text 20 as follows:
na jāyate mriyate vā kadācin
nāyaṁ bhūtvā bhavitā vā na bhūyaḥ
ajo nityaḥ śāśvato 'yaṁ purāṇo
na hanyate hanyamāne śarīre
"For the soul there is neither birth nor death at any time. He has not come into being, does not come into being, and will not come into being. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain."
So, we should take advantage of this knowledge and make our lives unlimitedly sublime.

Dear Gurudev,All glories to you and Gurumataji.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
If someone insults us, is it right to respond to them?
Does remaining silent harm our self-respect?
Your fallen servant,

Lord Caitanya has taught us how to deal with insults:

taror api sahiṣṇunā
amāninā māna-dena
kīrtanīyaḥ sadā hariḥ
"One who thinks himself lower than the grass, who is more tolerant than a tree, and who does not expect personal honor yet is always prepared to give all respect to others can very easily always chant the holy name of the Lord.”
