Can You Reject Your Diksha Guru?

Sometimes we hear a bogus philosophy going around ISKCON that if you don't like the instructions coming from your diksha guru, your initiating guru, that you can reject your diksha guru and accept someone else (siksha guru-instructing spiritual master) as your spiritual master instead. Sometimes the so called siksha guru claims that he understands the disciple's situation better than the diksha guru and that thus the disciple should follow him instead of the diksha guru. But this is only his claim. There is no proof.

Here is what Srila Prabhupada says about this controversy:

"A śikṣā-guru who instructs against the instruction of spiritual.(master), he is not a śikṣā-guru. He is a demon. Śikṣā-guru, dīkṣā-guru means... Sometimes a dīkṣā-guru is not present always. Therefore one can take learning, instruction, from an advanced devotee. That is called the śikṣā-guru. Śikṣā-guru does not mean he is speaking something against the teachings of the dīkṣā-guru. He is not a śikṣā-guru. He is a rascal."

So the disciple can follow the siksha guru only insofar as his instructions are in harmony with his diksha guru, not otherwise. Srila Prabhupada has made it very clear. Those who follow the siksha guru rejecting their diksha guru are being very badly misled. They are committing the most grievous offense, guru aparadha, and are thus spoiling their spiritual lives. The disciple should accept the order of his diksha guru as his very life and soul and never disobey him.

Prabhu, how to convince people that Vedic Literatures are 100% Apaurusheya (not spoken by any person materially created)? Since if we can convince them on this fact, then they will naturally not only leave atheism but also start to cultivate and learn the Science of Kṛṣṇa Consciousness. Some people also doubt that maybe the knowledge is a bit Apaurusheya but not 100%.

How to clear such doubts completely from the head and develop firm faith?

Please bless me so that I can successfully cultivate Kṛṣṇa consciousness and preach this to others.

The key to convincing others is that we have to be 100% convinced. If our conviction is strong we can easily convince others. If our conviction is weak we will not be able to convince others. The way to make our conviction strong is to thoroughly study all of Srila Prabhupada’s books again and again. Because Srila Prabhupada had unflinching conviction he made many thousands of skeptics into devotees.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee.
