Here's the rough draft of my first attempt to write Song of Despair. Presently it is song lyrics only with no melody yet chosen:

Our leaders are zonkeys
A big pack of donkeys
Leading us to despair
And they don't really care

When will we ever learn?
When will we ever lern?

They're brutalizing the babies.
And murdering the cows.
To save and protect these
Is our duty right now.

When will we ever learn?

The world's bogus teachers
Are nothing but cheaters
Their misguided classes
Train us to be asses

When will we ever learn?

Their scientific delirium madness
Obliterates my gladness
Instead of showing the way
They lead me into a cave

People dying and crying
In the Darien Gap
While the conscienceless leaders
Keep our minds zapped.

Spiritual master brings solution
While we're trapped in confusion
But if keep our ears tight
We won't see the light.

I hope you can grasp what I'm trying to say
A liberated world awaits us today.
But we throw away that jewel
When our hears remain cruel.

When we will ever learn?

Will there ever come a bright tomorrow
In this world now tortured by sorrow?

It doesn't have to be this way
If we heed what the great sages say.

I hope I've been able to clear the air
With this crying and pleading song of despair.
So now my dear friend it's to you.
What with your life you'll now to choose to do.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
