My Disciple Jambavati Devi Dasi Just Left Her Body

My disciple, Jambavati devi dasi, is one of my very first disciles. She was initiated twenty years. She has been suffering in ill health for many years and has just left her body here in Austin, Texas USA on 17 February. It is most auspicious that Guru Mataji and Abhay Charan Das were there doing a kirtan for her as she left her body. Even though she was not conscious when she left her body, if she as spirit-soul influenced by the kirtan took shelter of Krishna, she has entered into to Spiritual Sky.

Thank you for your blessings, dear Gurudeva! I have wanted to write to you for many days, but somehow I have always been delayed as I am studying two courses, working for some hours every now and then and doing a lot of service every day. Recently I have again been put into a situation where I have to face the fact that this material body is limited and always under the influence of time. One of my close relatives has been diagnosed with a terminal type of cancer and my mother is also preparing everything ready for her departure. Everything has officially been arranged already. Even her cremation.

Please, dear Gurudeva, I would like to be Krishna conscious on these important times, and I am not so much affected by the idea of death as such. I think that because the soul leaves the body and carries all the impressions with it, then nothing basically changes. So is it so that the consciousness remains the same, either covered by a lot of contamination or pure if it is an advanced devotee who leaves the body? And according to the level of purity or contamination the new body is shaped. If the consciousness and the individuality remain the same, then what changes? Except that the body is left behind.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
