How to Attain the Realm of Unlimited Bliss

If we are always be enthusiastic to perform services unto the Lotus Feet of Lord Krishna despite all obstacles, we can then be assured that all of the other qualities or necessities for pure devotional service will be met, such as patience, determination, etc. and then without doubt we shall be delivered to the realm of unlimited bliss, freed from all anxieties. So always remain in this mood of enthusiasm to be Krishna conscious and to make the whole world Krishna conscious.

Question: Do Vegetarians Become Plants?

Hare Krishna.
People who eat non-vegetarian food argue that plants also have life and that therefore vegetarians are also engaged in killing. So will vegetarians become plants and be eaten?

Answer: If They Don't Offer the Vegetables to Krishna

In the Bhagavad-gita we find these verses:

yajña-śiṣṭāśinaḥ santo
mucyante sarva-kilbiṣaiḥ
bhuñjate te tv aghaṁ pāpā
ye pacanty ātma-kāraṇāt

"The devotees of the Lord are released from all kinds of sins because they eat food which is offered first for sacrifice. Others, who prepare food for personal sense enjoyment, verily eat only sin."
(Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 3, Text 13)

patraṁ puṣpaṁ phalaṁ toyaṁ
yo me bhaktyā prayacchati
tad ahaṁ bhakty-upahṛtam
aśnāmi prayatātmanaḥ

"If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, fruit or water, I will accept it." (Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 9, Text 26)

If we eat vegetables without offering them we will become vegetables and be eaten. However if we offer vegetarian foods to Krishna, He will free us from the karmic reaction of becoming a plant and being eaten. But He offers no such exemption for those who eat non-vegetarian foods. They will take birth as the same type of animals that they ate and will be eaten by the very same animals that they ate.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
