In 1967 during the height of the hippie era in San Francisco, USA one of Srila Prabhupada's first disciples, Syamasundar Das, arranged an event called the Mantra Rock Dance to introduce the counter cultural community to Srila Prabhupada in a popular hippie venue, the Avalon Ballroom. This same Syamasundar Das has very much appreciated my humble attempts to broadcast Krishna consciousness all over the world. He has written to me in 2017 the following most encouraging words:

"I so much appreciate how you are guiding Srila Prabhupada's early dream so perfectly into the 21st century."

I don't know how I can possibly live up to these most encouraging words. But by the grace of Srila Prabhupada and Lord Sri Krishna I must try. In this regard Srila Prabhupada has given us great encouragement to attempt those accomplish those things which seem to be impossible. He said, "Impossible is a word in a fool's dictionary."

One can become a pure devotee of Lord Sri Krishna either living at home or living in the temple. It does not matter. What matters is the intensity of one's desire to be Krishna's pure devotee and thus attain the ultimate perfection of going back to home, back to Godhead.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
