One Falling Domino is Required to Set the Dominos into Motion

Understanding the Cause of All Causes

We see all around us a chain of causality. One thing is caused by something which is caused by something, which is caused by something, etc. etc. And that thing also become the cause for something else, which becomes the cause for something else, which become the cause for something else, etc. etc. If we trace the line of causality back, back, back, far enough, we will eventually come to the original cause, the cause of all causes

If someone argues that there is no original cause, only an infinite chain of causality, this is illogical, because even in an infinite row of dominos there has to be one domino which falls over on it's own without pushed in order to set the row of dominos into motion. So is that original cause a machine or a person? Since no machine can turn itself on that original cause must indeed be a person. And who that person is is described by Lord Brahma as follows:

īśvaraḥ paramaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ
sac-cid-ānanda-vigrahaḥ
anādir ādir govindaḥ
sarva-kāraṇa-kāraṇam

"Kṛṣṇa who is known as Govinda is the Supreme Godhead. He has an eternal blissful spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin and He is the prime cause of all causes."

So the next time an atheist tells you that everything comes out of nothing you can tell him that nothing comes from nothing, that everything comes from something, and that if he is eager to learn, you will enlighten him as to what that original something is.

Answer: Depends on His Relationship with Krishna

My Dear Krishney,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

In the spiritual world, which is called Vaikuntha (the world which is free from all anxiety), the topmost planet is Goloka Vrindavan. Besides this topmost planet there are innumerable other planets, which are known as the Vaikuntha planets. Each and every one of us has an eternal relationship serving Him in intimacy on the Goloka Vrindavan planet or serving Him with great awe and reverence on one of the Vaikuntha planets. When we go back to Godhead we regain our residence either in Goloka Vrindavan or on one of the Vaikuntha planets according to whatever our eternal relationship is.

However it should be noted here that if one wants to shift from serving Krishna with awe and reverence on a Vaikuntha planet to serving Him with intimacy in Goloka Vrindavan, he can do that at any time because there is full freedom of movement in the spiritual world.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.
