Transforming this World into a Paradise

Even though our present day world leaders have turned this planet into a hellish nightmare, if they will now take guidance from the expert spiritual master, this entire world can be transformed into a spiritual paradise. This is confirmed by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada who writes as follows in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam, First Canto, Chapter 5, Text 23: "The expert spiritual master knows the art of utilizing everything to glorify the Lord, and therefore under his guidance the whole world can be turned into the spiritual abode by the divine grace of the Lord's servant." Therefore may all the leaders of the global society now agree to take guidance from the expert spiritual master so that all living beings on this planet can now become peaceful and happy.

Question: How to Conquer Depression?

Hare Krishna Maharaja,

Need your guidance on the below subject, please help me. I have been suffering from mild chronic depression from last 21 years, can chanting cure my depression. And what does scripture say about depression.

​​​​​​​Answer: Be Krishna Conscious Not Me Conscious

As confirmed in Srimad Bhagavatam 11.25.18, depression is a symptom of someone who is in the mode of ignorance. You are depressed because you are meditating on your own happiness or lack of happiness. If you will instead think of Krishna's happiness by always endeavoring to make Krishna happy by your every thought, word, and deed in all times, places, and circumstances, your heart will immediately be filled with transcendental bliss, and the the bliss ocean of your heart will go on increasing unlimitedly forever. In short, instead of being me conscious, you must now become Krishna conscious.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
