Question: How to Attain Pure Attachment?

Hare Krishna Srila Gurudeva,
Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to Your Divine Grace and Srimati Gurumataji.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
All glories to all wonderful devotees.

Dear Srila Gurudeva, I was reading Caitanya Caritamrita Adi Lila, Chapter 4, Texts 164-180, and I was thinking, "What is this love of the Gopis which is called firm attachment?". Even my thoughts have no access to understand it. It means that at every moment one's thoughts, words, and deeds are simply for the pleasure of Krishna's senses. That is what I hear in Your Divine Grace's lectures. But I can't understand it, it's like a great treasure which is inaccessible. How to access this attachment?
Thank you.

Answer: Intensely Beg For It

From: Sri Vrindavan Dhama

My Dear Lila Manjari,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Firm attachment means to only think of the pleasure of one’s beloved without even the slightest tinge of a desire for one’s own personal pleasure.

To access this unlimited treasure is not difficult. You simply have to beg for it with great intensity again and again and again until you finally get it. Even if you have to go on begging for millions of lifetimes, you will never stop begging. This is the price you must pay to gain the ultimate perfection of firm attachment.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.

Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
