Leaving Vrindavana

The hardest part of coming to Vrindavana is leaving Vrindavana. To be residing in that place where Lord Sri Krishna had and is still having His most intimate pastimes is certainly a most thrillng and exhilirating experience. So one could easily become depressed when it comes time to leave Vrindavana. But if we will embrace Lord Caitanya's world deliverance by creating a Vrindavan atmosphere all over the world, we be living in Vrindavan at every moment and we will never be separated from Lord Krishna and His transcendental abode.

Question: How to Become Your Disciple?

Respected Gurudeva,
Please accept my humble obeisances.
All Glories to Srila Prabhupada, and to and Gurumataji.

I want to know what is the process to become your disciple.

Answer:

Chant 16 Rounds and Follow these Principles

From: Sri Vrindavan Dhama

My Dear Rudra,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I am very happy that you want to know how to become a disciple. This is most important because Krishna says that unless you are the devotee of His devotee you are not His devotee. What this means is that unless you become a disciples of a bona fide guru you cannot go back to home, back to Godhead. You will remain caught up perpetually in the most miserable cycle of birth, death, old age, and disease.

To become a disciple you must become fixed in the vow of chanting at least 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna mahamantra on japa mala beads every day along with the strict avoidance of illicit sex, meat eating, intoxication, and gambling.

Once you are fixed in these vows I will accept you as my duly initiated disciple, and I will guide you how to go back to home, back to Godhead after leaving your present material body.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.

Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
