Krishna Consciousness: The World Religion

On 6 January 1972 Srila Prabhupada wrote a letter to one of his leading disciples in which he stated, "As much as possible read, chant, and preach. This is our life and soul. If we keep to this simple formula, there is no doubt that we will be victorious wherever we go and and very soon we shall become the only religion in the world." So this is our duty to obey these instructions. If we do so, very soon Krishna consciousness will indeed be the world religion and our planet will be blessed with an amazing era of peace and prosperity that will last for thousands of years. Therefore, each of us should diligently engage in chanting Hare Krishna, reading Srila Prabhupada's books, and preaching as much as we possibly can. This will guarantee our perfection and bestow the highest good fortune upon the entire world population.

I got moved in heart reading today's "Thought for the Day" entitled, "Why We Exist." And I cried tears. We exist for love. Please teach me how to love. What is love?

I am hungry for love, such love where I get some peace of love back too, not that I'm just giving and trying and trying and nothing happens. No. I dont want to make anybody hurt. I want that all people wish each other's happiness and well being.

Love means to always think, speak, and act for the pleasure of your beloved. We are hungry for being loved, but we usually forget that we will only experience being loved to the extent that we give love. The secret of feeling totally loved at every minute is to completely surrender ourselves to Guru and Krishna. Full surrender to Guru and Krishna means totally giving all of our love to them. It is in this state of mind that we will feel how we are totally being loved by Guru and Krishna. And we will feel totally, completely

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
