Severe Flooding and Devastating Forest Fire

As I am writing this there is severe flooding in Louisiana and a devastating forest fire in California. In both places tens of thousands of people have been evacuated to save them from death. Some deaths have been reported also. In one place there is too much water, and in the other place there is not enough water. In other words, nature is out of balance. This imbalanced condition of nature is due the intense degree of sinfulness that is currently torturing this planet. Every day 66 thousand innocent babies are being murdered by abortion, and 156 million innocent animals are being brutally murdered in the slaughter houses. The law of karma cannot be avoided. Even the Bible teaches this principle by stating, "As you sow, so shall you reap." If we commit sinful activities, we will undoubtedly be punished in accordance with the strict laws of the material nature. There is, however, a simple remedy for this imbalance in nature. If only the people would take it, this planet would become heaven on earth. That solution is the performance of the sankirtana yajna, the congregational chanting of the holy names of God. This auspicious practice will automatically curb down sinfulness and create a wonderfully peaceful, prosperous, harmonious atmosphere all over the world. So let all peoples all over the world now engage in sankirtana yajna, the congregational chanting of the holy names of God, on a regular daily basis. This and only this will solve the world's problems and bring nature back into balance.

Question: How to Get Up Early to Chant?

Please accept my humble obeisances.

I have been reading all the postings that are published, I have also read already several of Srila Prabhupada's books. I have started chanting the Hare Krishna mahamantra, but it is still difficult to get up early to chant the rounds. What am I missing? What do you recommend?

Struggling devotee

Answer: Early to Bed, Early to Rise

Getting up early to chant Hare Krishna is mandatory for all those who are serious about going back home, back to Godhead in this lifetime. Go to bed as early as possible and then rise each morning by 4:00am, take bath, celebrate mangala arati, and complete your 16 rounds before taking your breakfast. If you are a heavy sleeper set a series of alarms so you will be certain not to oversleep.
