Krishna Consciousness is Non-Discriminatory

Sometimes we hear it falsely said that Krishna consciousness discriminates against certain classes of people. For example we hear that our standard of protection of women from exploitation is some kind of discrimination against women. Such claims are a gross misunderstanding of the liberating science of Krishna consciousness. The actual fact is that the science of Krishna consciousness properly engages everyone according to their natural propensities in such a way to fully engage them in the service of Krishna. This enables them to be delivered back to home, back to Godhead as soon as possible. Krishna consciousness upholds the spiritual equality of all living beings, even the insignificant ant, and at the same time engages everyone in such a way, according to their natures, that they are fully protected and happily re-situated in their original state of consciousness as eternal servants of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna.

Question: Can You Be My Guru Even Without Initiation?

Respected Gurudeva,
My humble obeisances to you and Guru Mataji.

In one of the answers recently, you stated that a bona fide spiritual master can either be a diksha guru (initiating spiritual master) or a siksha guru (instructing spiritual master).

I have two questions in this regard:
1) For spiritual progress, it is necessary to take shelter of a bona fide spiritual master. If this can be achieved by having only a siksha guru, then why is there a need to take initiation i.e. diksha and have a diksha guru?

2) I have been subscribed to your e-course since 2006 and have been trying to faithfully follow your instructions to the best of my ability. Can I then consider you as my siksha guru and hence my bona fide spiritual master?

Please forgive any mistakes in my question.
Hare Krishna,

Kind regards,
Shriram

Answer: If You Are My Disciple, You Will Take Initiation

Srila Prabhupada explains in the Nectar of Devotion that formal initiation by a bona fide spiritual master is required to reconnect ourselves with Krishna. So initiation is required, not just siksha or instruction. The initiating spiritual master also acts as an instructing guru to guide you and train you how to become a pure devotee of Krishna.

Since you are following my instructions, I am your siksha guru. So now I am instructing you that you also require to take formal initiation. If you are truly my siksha disciple, you will follow my instruction and prepare yourself now for formal initiation.
