Ever-Increasing Nectar at Every Minute

To be actually Krishna conscious means to be tasting ever-increasing nectar at every minute. But on the neophyte level sometimes we are blissfully enlivened in Krishna consciousness and sometimes we are miserably bewildered by material consciousness, as Arjuna was on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. The solution for our unsteady Krishna consciousness is to follow the example of Arjuna by fully surrendering ourselves to Krishna according to the precise instructions given by Krishna in the Bhagavad-gita. Then we will fully awaken in the realm of pure bhakti in which life is ever-increasingly ecstatic at every minute. May that day come real soon!

I want to advance in Krishna consciousness, but I have a very strong sex desire due to having had a karmi lover in my teenage years. Please Gurudeva, how can I tear my mind away from this bad desire? I don’t want to degrade myself or use some youth or man.

If you think that sex is very pleasurable and your mind is tortured by lust, simply remember that the pleasure of one pure utterance of Krishna’s holy name is more satisfying, thrilling, and fulfilling than having sex hundreds and millions of times. So now you must practice and develop the art of diving deeply into the nectarean ocean of Krishna’s holy name. In this way your sex desire will gradually evaporate and go away like a glass of water sitting in a table for some days and becomes completely dry.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
