Selfishness, self indulgence, and a lack of shame over increasingly more and more abominable and disgusting activities is becoming the accepted standard all over the world. Therefore there is no greater or more pressing need than the awakening of the dormant Krishna consciousness or God consciousness in the hearts of all.

Question: Who is Right, Krishna or Jesus?

The other day I was having a conversation with one of my colleagues on the topic of religion. He was arguing that although the spiritual master is leading us towards God, he too is a human being who can make mistakes. He was also arguing that although guru gives us transcendental knowledge, what are we to think if his disciples engage in sinful activities?

He was saying that in the Bible Lord Jesus never proclaims that he is God. He simply presents himself as a servant of God. He was finding fault with Krishna's declaration in the Bhagavad-gita that He is God. So, who is right Krishna or Jesus?

How should I advise him?

Answer: They Are Both Right

If the guru does not properly represent God, he is not a bona fide spiritual master. The bona fide spiritual master is that person who properly represents God. Such a bona fide spiritual master will never tolerate disciples who misrepresent him. He will rectify them of their sinful ways.

Jesus never proclaims that he is God because he is not God. He is the servant of God. And Krishna proclaims that He is God because it is a fact that He is God. How can we think that someone is wrong when they speak the truth? If we do so, this is our ignorance.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth. He is all-attractive because he exceeds everyone in all of existence by possessing unlimitedly all the qualities that are attractive namely power, beautify, renunciation, knowledge, wealth, and fame.
