Jagannath Ratha Yatra Bliss

On Sunday 26 August 2012, the city of Burgas, Bulgaria was greatly blessed with the Lord's transcendental mercy in the form of a Ratha Yatra festival. What can be sweeter than strolling down the street with Lord Jagannath, singing and dancing in ecstasy? I noticed one gentleman who in a jovial festive mood bowed down to Lord Jagannath four times from the waist. He did not appear to know anything about our movement, but yet he was inspired to bow down four times to Lord Jagannath in a spirit of fun. In this and many thousands and thousands of other ways, Lord Jagannath's Ratha Yatra festival bestowed unlimited mercy upon the people of Burgas, Bulgaria.

Question: What is the Proper Mood While Chanting?

Dear Gurudeva,

Please accept my humble obeisances.
All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I have the following question relating to the mood while chanting the Hare Krishna mahamantra:

If one genuinely realizes in his heart that the material energy has given him a lot of suffering and chants Hare Krishna in the mood of, "O lord please help release me from this material bondage, please take me near to you in to the spiritual world," is this a right mood while chanting?

Answer: Praying for Release is Very Nice

Lord Caitanya has prayed:

"O son of Maharaja Nanda [Krishna], I am Your eternal servitor, yet somehow or other I have fallen into the ocean of birth and death. please pick me up from this ocean of death and place me as one of the atoms of Your lotus feet."

So in this mood you can pray to be released from this world of birth and death and brought to a subordinate position at the lotus feet of the Lord in His transcendental abode. Such of chanting is very nice and will enable you to rapidly advance in Krishna consciousness.
