The Extraordinarily Wonderful Krishna
Krishna is wondrous beyond compare. Indeed, everything wonderful within all of existence is simply a ultra-miniscule infinitesimally fragmental portion of His inconceivably unlimited wonderfulness. He cannot be grasped by any amount of mental speculation. But He can be personally experienced at every second by those who serve Him with love.
"If you inquire and observe where this I-thought arises from, the mind gets absorbed in it. That is tapas. While performing mantra japa if you inquire and observe where the sound of the mantra arises from, the mind gets absorbed in it. That is tapas. In the no thoughts or no mind state, you will realize the Self."

There is no such thing as a state of no thoughts and no mind. This concept is a concoction of the Mayavadis. The Srimad Bhagavatam describes this state of liberation as imaginary. The aspiring transcendentalist is thinking that he must free his mind from thoughts. This means that his mind is still active and that he is still thinking. This is like saying that the only thing you are allowed to think about is not thinking. How long can the mind be satisfied by thinking about not thinking? This is artificial, and it gets very boring, very fast. Such so-called transcendentalists therefore fall back down to the material platform because they get no taste in transcendence.
But if you will absorb your mind in Krishna, you will find that He has unlimited attractive aspects that will nourish you with the sweetest brain food for all of eternity with no satiation. Therefore give up thinking about not thinking. Just think about Krishna. That is sufficient.

Question: Self Realization by No Thoughts/No Mind?
I was searching for self realization concepts on the internet, and I found the quote cited below. I was impressed by it, feeling that it would help me to achieve self realization. Can we practice this along with chanting the Hare Krishna mantra?"If you inquire and observe where this I-thought arises from, the mind gets absorbed in it. That is tapas. While performing mantra japa if you inquire and observe where the sound of the mantra arises from, the mind gets absorbed in it. That is tapas. In the no thoughts or no mind state, you will realize the Self."

Answer: Just Think About Krishna
The sound of the Hare Krishna mantra springs from Krishna Himself. Since the mantra is also Krishna Himself, there is no need to meditate on anything except for the mantra. Simply by meditating on the sound of the Hare Krishna mantra one will quickly achieve spiritual perfection. There is no such thing as a state of no thoughts and no mind.
