Become Perfect in Love and Free from Lust

Lust is when we want to enjoy separately from Krishna, and love is when we want to do nothing except please Krishna with our every thought, word, and deed in all times, places, and circumstances. Lust does nothing but agitate our minds making us more and more miserable. And love fully satisfies us bringing perfect peace and happiness to the soul. Therefore, why are we so foolish that we continue trying to enjoy on the false platform of lust? This is simply due to our lack of realization of Krishna. Therefore we must dive deeper and deeper into the sweet nectarean ocean of Krishna's holy names. This will fully satisfy us.

Question: Isn't It Futile to Try to Save the People?

Dear Gurudeva,
Namaste.

I would like to ask the following question:

Most of the people in the world are suffering from their entanglement in the cycle of birth and death because they are acting against tenets of ISKCON mission. Is it not futile to devote your time and energy and try to deliver them from devils?

Answer: Even One Soul Saved is a Great Victory

It is not correct to say that people are suffering because they do not follow the tenets of the ISKCON mission. It is correct to say that people are suffering because they do not follow the instructions of Krishna as revealed in the Bhagavad-gita.

If a building is on fire, is it futile to try to save as many people as possible from being consumed in its flames? It may not be possible to save everyone, but still we must try to save as many as possible. This is our duty. This is compassion. This is love. Similarly, this material world is compared to a blazing fire with its entire population presently being devoured in the flames of lust, anger, greed, etc. So is it not duty, compassion, and love to try to save as many people as possible?

Therefore Lord Caitanya has ordered every Indian:

bhārata-bhūmite haila manuṣya janma yāra
janma sārthaka kari’ kara para-upakāra

“One who has taken his birth as a human being in the land of India should make his life successful by becoming fully Krishna conscious and work for the benefit of all other people by giving them Krishna consciousness."
--Caitanya Caritamrita Ādi 9.41

So especially because you are from India, the land of Krishna, we are humbly requesting you to fully surrender to Krishna and assist us in spreading the Krishna consciousness movement all over the world.
