Do What Krishna Wants

The secret of perfection in Krishna consciousness is to do what Krishna wants, not what you want. All forms of suffering come from our one defect of acting independently from God. Therefore simply by abandoning what we want to do and doing what God wants us to do , we will immediately be liberated.

So, how do we know what God wants us to do? We are not pure enough at this point to hear His direct instructions to us within our hearts. We have to hear from His authorized representative, the bona fide spiritual master, who purely guides us on behalf of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. In this way, simply by hearing from and following the bona fide spiritual master we get perfect spiritual knowledge and immediate liberation from this miserable material existence.

Answers According to the Vedic Version:

Question: Are There Demons?

I was wondering where demons come from and why Krishna allows them to exist (if they actually do). I was taught as a child that Satan as we know him to be was a fallen angel who is allowed to try to deceive people and take their souls to hell and all that stuff. Is any of this true in the beliefs of Krishna followers? I have a hard time believing this. Could "Satan" just actually be our own greed and lust instead of a real entity? Thank you so much!!

Answer: We are the Demons

Every living being is a devotee by nature. But when he misuses his independence he becomes a demon. So the demons do exist. That's us. And this material world can therefore be rightly described as a dungeon of demons. This is that place where those who have misused their independence are sent to try to fulfill their desire to try to be happy independently of God. Because we are constitutionally meant to serve God, no one can be truly happy here.

When by the grace of Krishna the demoniac person comes into the contact of the bona fide spiritual master, if he takes proper advantage of such powerful spiritual association, his original spiritual, devotee nature will be revived.
