Back to the West

Even though the line between East and West is becoming blurrier as India becomes more and more westernized, there are still the wonderful vestiges of the ancient Vedic culture lingering on in India continuing to qualify it as the "holy land" of India. For this reason a visit to India is encouraging for anyone who wants to awaken their dormant Krishna consciousness. By the time you read this I will be back in the West, on my European lecture tour explaining the amazing wisdom that guided the human civilization for thousands and millions of years before the advent of the Kali yuga 5,000 years ago. Anyone who takes advantage of this knowledge will realize the supreme happiness and become the most fortunate person in the whole world.

Question: Who Is Qualified to Meet a Spiritual Master?

It is said that when one is qualified to accept a spiritual master, Krishna sends him one. Does that mean that everyone in whose life you come (via Internet or otherwise) is qualified to have a spiritual master?

Answer: No One, But Still He Mercifully Appears.

Whether one is qualified or unqualified to come into contact with a bona fide master, that contact with Sri Guru is his greatest qualification for quickly and easily becoming perfect in self-realization by taking full advantage of the merciful instructions of the bona fide spiritual master. Even though the human population is unqualified to receive him, the bona fide spiritual master causelessly appears in their midst to bless them with Krishna consciousness. This is how we are to understand that the spiritual master's mercy is causeless. Nobody deserves it, but he dispenses mercy freely without regard for someone's being qualified or unqualified to receive it.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
