We Should Not Water Down Krishna Consciousness

Krishna very kindly blesses us with this transcendental knowledge in Bhagavad-gita, Chapter 5, Text 21:

bāhya-sparśeṣv asaktātmā
vindaty ātmani yat sukham
sa brahma-yoga-yuktātmā
sukham akṣayam aśnute

"Such a liberated person is not attracted to material sense pleasure but is always in trance, enjoying the pleasure within. In this way the self-realized person enjoys unlimited happiness, for he concentrates on the Supreme."

And Srila Prabhupada gives this wonderful purport to this verse:

Śrī Yāmunācārya, a great devotee in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, said:

yad-avadhi mama cetaḥ kṛṣṇa-pādāravinde
nava-nava-rasa-dhāmany udyataṁ rantum āsīt
tad-avadhi bata nārī-saṅgame smaryamāne
bhavati mukha-vikāraḥ suṣṭhu niṣṭhīvanaṁ ca

"Since I have been engaged in the transcendental loving service of Kṛṣṇa, realizing ever-new pleasure in Him, whenever I think of sex pleasure I spit at the thought, and my lips curl with distaste." A person in brahma-yoga, or Kṛṣṇa consciousness, is so absorbed in the loving service of the Lord that he loses his taste for material sense pleasure altogether. The highest pleasure in terms of matter is sex pleasure. The whole world is moving under its spell, and a materialist cannot work at all without this motivation. But a person engaged in Kṛṣṇa consciousness can work with greater vigor without sex pleasure, which he avoids. That is the test in spiritual realization. Spiritual realization and sex pleasure go ill together. A Kṛṣṇa conscious person is not attracted to any kind of sense pleasure, due to his being a liberated soul.

Afte reading and understanding this wonderful verse from Sri Krishna and enlightening purport from Srila Prabhupada it is very disaapointing to note that there is misconception going around ISKCON nowadays that recrecational sex is required in order to have a happy marriage. This means that the process of awakening our dormant Krishna consciousness so lovingly given to us by Srila Prabhupada is being rejected and replaced with a watered down version of so-called Krishna consciousness. Srila Prabhupada taught us that purity is the force. So let's keep ISKCON pure, exactly as Srila Prabhupada gave it to us. In this way we will see in due course the fulfillment of Lord Caitanya's prediction:

saj-jana, durjana, paṅgu, jaḍa, andha-gaṇa
prema-vanyāya ḍubāila jagatera jana

"The Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement will inundate the entire world and drown everyone, whether one be a gentleman, a rogue or even lame, invalid or blind."

(Sri Caitanya Caritamrita, Adi Lila, Chapter 7, Text 26).

Question: Does Krishna Give Us Our Guru?

I am confused.

I have a question, regrading accepting who will be my spiritual master? Does Krishna directs us or connect us in any manner to our future spiritual master?

I daily pray to Krishna when I feel alone for revealing to me who will be my spiritual master. And every time I got some guidance from you.

Please guide me for above query..

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
