There is Unlimited Ecstasy When We Fully Surrender to Krishna
There is unlimited, inconceivably enlivening ecstasy when we fully surrender to Krishna, the Supreme Person, the source of all existence. So why do we keep cheating ourselves unnecessarily keeping ourselves in misery by not fully surrendering to our most beloved Krishna, most foolishly holding onto our ridiculous tendency of trying to be the lords of all that we survey? To say the least it is utter idiocy. Hopefully some day we will give up this stupidity and stop cheating ourselves by trying to play God when our constiutional position is to be the totally sold out loving servants of God. May that day come soon! May that day come very, very soon!!
Maybe this question is like a childish one, but it concerns me so I should ask it. When I meditate I have a spiritual experience, but when I do rounds of chanting I don't get any experience while chanting. This makes me feel like if any difference is really being created when I chant. Swami Prabhupada says that devotional service is direct and easy method of attaining God. But I am preferring meditation more than chanting due to this reason. Please tell me how to really know that chanting is making a difference.
Thanks & Regards,

My Dear Keshav,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Thank you very much for your sincere inquiry.
The difference between chanting and mediation is this:
Krishna is fully present in His holy names. So chanting is direct connection with God, while meditation is simply trying to disconnect from the material energy.
It's like the difference between trying to remove your debts or being gifted with 100 billion dollars.
I hope this meets you in the best of health.
Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
