Knowing the Three Vishnus Can Liberate You

For material creation, Lord Kṛṣṇa's plenary expansion assumes three Viṣṇus. The first one, Mahā-Viṣṇu, lies down in this material world in the Causal Ocean. He creates the total material energy, known as the mahat-tattva. From Him an infinite number of material universes are manifested. In each of these infinite universes He furthers expands Himself as an infinite number of Garbhodakaśāyī Viṣṇus, lying down in the Garbhodaka ocean in the bottom half of each universe. From His naval sprouts a lotus flower from which the Lord Brahma for that particular universe takes birth. Then He further expands as Kṣīrodakaśāyī Viṣṇu, who is diffused as the all-pervading Supersoul in all the universes and is known as Paramātmā. He is present within the heart of all living beings and even within the atoms.

The Nārada Pañcarātra says that anyone who knows these three Viṣṇus can be liberated from material entanglement. So to facilitate your knowing these three Viṣṇus for your liberation from material entanglement I have described them for you here in today's Thought for the Day. May you be blessed with liberation from the cycle of birth and death!

Question: How to Identify Fake Gurus?

Thank you, Srila Gurudeva, for your guidance. I have few more questions that are kind of disturbing me.

1. How to identify fake godmen?
2. What to do if earlier we have been victim of such fake godmen? How to forgive ourselves and these fake people also as they are intervening with my mind?

I was also in association of this fake Godmen few years back but got saved. Many times I remember that people used to claim miracles. I am not believing but at times I feel what if this person is saint and am committing aparadha against him? But on other side his teachings were not based on scriptures. He made his on mantra that is not found anywhere in scriptures:

Om Namo Shivaye Shivji Sada Sahaye
Om Namo Shivaye Guruji Sada Sahaye

Moreover, this person was always fond of clicking his pictures in different poses and in different robes. His many followers claim him to be avatar of Shivji. But, there is no sadhna paditi and if I compare life of our saints and his he is faraway. But, it is widespread that he used to refill his pens just by blowing air and so on and so forth.

I feel scared all the time what if mind is speculating and not letting me to focus on Krishna?

I am sorry but need your guidance coz am totally in wrong path and feeling bad.

Fake godmen are easy to recognize because they not teach Bhagavad-gita as it is. They either do not teach Bhagavad-gita at all or they misrepresent the teachings of the Bhagavad-gita by saying that is not to surrender to whom we are to surrender, that we are instead supposed to surrender to the unborn, the unmanifest that is within everything.

Millions of people have been misguided by such bogus gurus. Simply surrender unto Lord Krishna under the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master and all of past mistakes made from following these bogus gurus are automatically forgiven.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee.
