What If One Feels Himself to Be a Despicable Wretch?
In the Siksastakam Lord Caitanya prays as follows:
tṛṇād api sunīcena
taror api sahiṣṇunā
amāninā mānadena
kīrtanīyaḥ sadā hariḥ
"One should chant the holy name of the Lord in a humble state of mind, thinking oneself lower than the straw in the street; one should be more tolerant than a tree, devoid of all sense of false prestige, and should be ready to offer all respect to others. In such a state of mind one can chant the holy name of the Lord constantly."
So if one feels himself to be a despicable wretch, it will not be a depressing situation. Rather it will be the perfect state of mind in which he can relish unlimited bliss when chanting the holy names of God.

Question: Compare Ordinary Person with God?
How can you compare Caitanya Mahaprabhu, an ordinary person, with God? He may be a great soul but not God.Suresh Kumar
Answer: Vedic Scriptures Declare Him to Be God
From: Tavua, FijiMy Dear Suresh,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
We do not compare an ordinary person with God. The revealed scriptures declare Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu to be. God Himself appearing in the form of His own devotee.
I hope this meets you in the best of health.
