Waterfalls Remind Us of Great Saintly Persons
In the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Tenth Canto, Chapter 20, Text 36 great saintly person are compared to waterfalls:
girayo mumucus toyaṁ
kvacin na mumucuḥ śivam
yathā jñānāmṛtaṁ kāle
jñānino dadate na vā
"Sometimes in autumn the water falls down from the tops of the hills to supply clean water, and sometimes the water stops. Similarly, sometimes great saintly persons distribute clear knowledge, and sometimes they are silent."
So when we stopped by a Fijian waterfall on 17 November and took our mid-day bath we could be reminded of these great saintly persons.

Guru Maharaja, sometimes I find my mind oscillating in Krishna bhakti. Sometimes I feel Krishna doesn't hear my prayers and He keeps giving me trouble after trouble. Despite chanting and following the regulative principles, I feel He is not giving me His shelter and thus I feel like giving up Krishna Consciousness. Please advice me what to do.

Answer: Krishna Never Stops His Mercy
From: Tavua, FijiMy Dear Miya,
Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Krishna never gives up showering His mercy on His devotees. The difficulty we have is that we are not fully taking shelter of Krishna. We are still taking shelter of the material energy, which
means we continue to suffer some portion of the karmic reactions from our previous sinful activities. When we finally kick out all of our material desires we will find ourselves in a state of ever-increasing bliss in spite of the four fold miseries of material
existence (birth, death, old age, and disease) still acting on our material bodies.
I hope this meets you in the best of health.
