Our Most Memorable Visit to ISKCON Greater Noida

On 2 November 2022 we had the most memorable visit to ISKCON Greater Noida. We had just departed from Vrindavan and were on our to catch a late night flight to Malaysia. But we had enough time for a lecture at ISKCON Greater Noida.

Their enthusiasm for receiving us for indeed amazing. When we arrived at their center we were greeted by throng of devotees who were chanting and dancing with unparalleled enthusiasm, and when we walked up the steps to enter the center we were showered with flowers. During the lecture when I compared the ordinary sex of making one's wife pregnant by injecting her with semen with the "greater sex life" of making the whole world pregnant by injecting the semen of the glories of Krishna into the ears of everyone the whole room erupted with applause.

Question: Difference Between Passion and Enthusiasm?

Hare Krishna Srila Gurudeva, please accept my obeisances. All glories to you and Gurumata, all glories to Srila Prabhupada!
Gurudeva, I am wondering what the difference between the mode of passion and enthusiasm is? Today I broke a personal record for book distribution, 354 books went out at Ohio State University in Columbus by your blessings. I was feeling very enlivened but how to know if this is passion or enthusiasm. I want to be able to sustain steady sankirtana and not burn out by being passionate. Please help me understand.

Answer: Transcendental Passion

My Dear Bhakta Avatar,

All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

It is not the material mode of passion. It is great enthusiasm. When passion is used in Krishna's service it is transcendental passion, just like Arjuna's transcendental passion as a warrior fighting for Krishna. It does not burnout. It leads to greater and greater enthusiasm.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
