The Tombstone for the Modern Civilization

McDonalds opened in 1955. Since then they are proud to advertise that 247 billion beef burgers have been sold. On the web are many sites analyzing this, and there we find that they can get 2024 burgers from a cow. 247 billion divided by 2024 = a total of 122 million cows slaughtered so far! Since the last 5 years, McDonalds boasts of serving over 5 billion burgers per year. That makes 25 million cows per year! Or 67,680 cows per day!! Can you imagine how sinful this is? The cow is our second mother because she gives us her breast milk after our first mother's breast milk dries up. Can you imagine how sinful it is to kill and eat your mother. And they proudly advertise themselves as if they are doing something wonderful. Just see how deluded they are and how deluded is our modern day so-called civilization to be so fond of the McDonalds cow-killing burgers. The McDonalds double arches are the tombstone for the modern civilization, which due to its humongous volume of sinful activities is doomed to destruction. In due course of time our so-called civilization will become completely disintegrated and we will revert to living like aborigines in the jungle struggling to somehow or other survive. But if Krishna consciousness can be universally accepted as the world religion in every town and village all over the world, which will automatically close all of the slaughterhouses and abortion clinics, the situation can be saved. We will have a peaceful, prosperous joyful civilization that will continue most gloriously for 10,000 years. So let work together to save this planet from imminent destruction by convincing everyone we meet to become Krishna conscious.

Question: Guru is Present with His Disciples?

1) I hear that no material things are needed for Krishna consciousness. But I see that when one has money, it's easy for them to engage it in Guru and Krishna's service in form of travelling or donations etc. How to understand this?

2) Krishna multiplies Himself and is present with His devotees always even physically like in the pastime with the Queens Or Gopis etc. Does the Spiritual Master also manifest in the same way for every disciple?

Whether one is a pauper or a millionaire in either case he can be a pure devotee of the Lord by engaging everything he has in the service of the Lord. When Krishna sees that you are engaging everything you have in His service He will give you more. He can even make you the wealthiest person in the whole world if you purely engage everything you have in His service.

The spiritual master is not physically present in the heart as is Krishna. But He is fully present in the form of his teachings. In this regard Srila Prabhupada has written in hisdedication of his Srimad Bhagavatam translationto his spiritual master, "He lives forever by his divineinstructions and the follower lives with him."

Therefore if you embrace the orders of your spiritual master as your very life and soul, he is personally present with you to guide you and bless you at every minute.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
