I am being presented to the audience as a Woodstock era singer/songwriter who is on a world peace mission. This is how I came to Krishna consciousness. I was searching for that message which could successfully bring a new era of peace and happiness for our greatly beleaguered Earth planet. It was Srila Prabhupada who revealed to me what is that message in Krishna's peace formula. Therefore I have dedicated my life to making the whole world peaceful by teaching everyone how to put Krishna or God back into the center of their lives. Question: Qualifications for Gurus?

Dear Srila Gurudeva,
Kindly please accept my humble obeisances at Your lotus feet,
All glories to Your Divine Grace.
All glories to Gurumata.
All glories to His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada.

Dear Srila Gurudeva, thank you very much for bringing me back from material ignorance to the path of pure devotional service.
I had inquired these questions before in recent Vrindavan yatra and you instructed me to ask these questions via email so you could provide a much more in detail answer.
1) What are the qualifications of gurus succeeding Srila Prabhupada? Srila Prabhupada was/is a pure devotee special qualified representative of Lord Sri Krishna and Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu. So does it mean that all the gurus succeeding Srila Prabhupada have to be on the same level of purity and achievements in order to continue bringing the souls out of this material existence? 
2) Isn't it for a disciple that his respective spiritual master is as pure as previous acharyas in the disciplic succession?
3) It is noticed from history that once a disciple spends some time with spiritual master, makes some progress then all of a sudden goes out, walks away and does not follow the spiritual master's instructions and guidance on the same awe and reverence platform as before. Why is it so? How to avoid such a situation?
4) From the spiritual world, when a soul falls down, do other souls notice this fall down and feel the absence of that particular soul in their daily services to Krishna?
5) I feel overwhelmed to see that devotees all over the world including you and Gurumata, are doing so much for spreading Krishna consciousness, and I am, on other hand struggling to become sincere in my sadhana and preaching.  How will I do even a drop of the achievements you and Gurumata have done for Srila Prabhupada and Krishna? What is my hope?

Answer: Strictly Follow the Previous Acharyas

My Dear Ananda Vardhana,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Here are your questions with answers:
1) What are the qualifications of gurus succeeding Srila Prabhupada? Srila Prabhupada was/is a pure devotee special qualified representative of Lord Sri Krishna and Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu. So does it mean that all the gurus succeeding Srila Prabhupada have to be on the same level of purity and achievements in order to continue bringing the souls out of this material existence? 
Answer: "Generally the spiritual master comes from the group of such eternal associates of the Lord; but anyone who follows the principles of such ever liberated persons is as good as one in the above mentioned group."
 => Srila Prabhupada in a letter to: Janardana  --  New York 26 April, 1968
2) Isn't it for a disciple that his respective spiritual master is as pure as previous acharyas in the disciplic succession?
Answer: See above answer
3) It is noticed from history that once a disciple spends some time with spiritual master, makes some progress then all of a sudden goes out, walks away and does not follow the spiritual master's instructions and guidance on the same awe and reverence platform as before. Why is it so? How to avoid such a situation?
Answer: He was not constantly begging Krishna for the blessing of pure devotional service. To avoid this one should be constantly begging Krishna for pure devotional service 24 hours daily.  This is meaning of the Hare Krishna mantra.  So one should always chant his rounds in the mood of begging Krishna for pure devotional service.
4) From the spiritual world, when a soul falls down, do other souls notice this fall down and feel the absence of that particular soul in their daily services to Krishna?
Answer: Certainly
5) I feel overwhelmed to see that devotees all over the world including you and Gurumata, are doing so much for spreading Krishna consciousness, and I am, on other hand struggling to become sincere in my sadhana and preaching.  How will I do even a drop of the achievements you and Gurumata have done for Srila Prabhupada and Krishna? What is my hope?
Answer: Constantly beg for pure devotional service and for the empowerment to make the whole world Krishna conscious. This is the secret of success for being a pure devotee of Krishna and Lord Caitanya.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
