Krishna's devotees are not bewildered by the material ocean of temporality, ignorance, and misery because they perceive it as also being Krishna's energy, just as the spiritual energy of eternity, knowledge, and bliss is the energy of Krishna. Thus instead of being bewildered by it they engage it in the service of Krishna and thus become supremely happy even while here in this world of birth, death, old age, and disease. Even though externally the devotees are in the material world, within their hearts they are fully situated in the spiritual world. Thus in all situations they remain undisturbed. Their only disturbance is that their hearts melt to see the suffering of the millions and billions of people who are not Krishna conscious in this material world. Thus they fully dedicated their lives for pulling off a global spiritual revolution as soon as possible on this planet.

Question: How to Have Krishna as My Husband?

I am in love with Lord Krishna. My deepest wish is for him to be my husband, and I am only 17 years old. Is my love appropriate? What should I do?

Answer: Just Unconditionally Give Yourself to Krishna

If you truly love Krishna, your love must be selfless. In other words, you must fully give yourself to Krishna without any thought of getting something in return. Therefore to truly love Krishna you must accept whatever type of relationship He wants to have with you. There are five types of relationships. The first is “Neutrality” when you serve Krishna by being His peacock feather He wears in His hair or by being his flute or some other type of neutral relationship. The second is “Servitude” when you become one of His servants. The third is “Friendship” when you become one of HIs cowherd boyfriends. The third is “Parental” when you become one of His parents. And the fifth is “Conjugal” when you become one of His girlfriends or His wives. The only way to be accepted by Krishna is to fully surrender unto Him and allow Him to decide what type of relationship He wants to have with you. If you demand what relationship you want, He will never accept you into His association. Krishna says that the only way to become accepted by Him is to become the devotee of His devotee. So now you must find out a pure devotee of Lord Krishna that you can fully surrender yourself to as his disciple. In this way you will be accepted by Krishna and He will bring you back into your original loving relationship with Him in any one of the five above mentioned relationships.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
