Failures Are the Stepping Stones to Success

Sankarshan Das Adhikari
Those who clicked on the link to hear me interviewed on the radio on 27 November experienced that I was not on the radio. Somehow or other the phone call not did come through to me when it was my time to go on the show. It is naturally disappointing when one gets to the opportunity to preach to thousands of people and somehow or other that opportunity is thwarted. But in Krishna consciousness we are not defeated by failure. We use failures as the stepping stones to success. Therefore if necessary, we are willing to fail again and again and again because we know that by Krishna's grace in due course the greatest possible success will be ours. That success is the awakening of pure love of Krishna within our hearts and great success in making the material society more and more Krishna conscious.

Answers According to the Vedic Wisdom

Question: Silence a Busy Mind?

How do you silence a busy mind?

Liam Anderson

Answer: Chant Hare Krishna

Liam, the mind by nature is active. Thus it is impossible to turn it off. Therefore the key to conquering the mind is to keep it engaged spiritually 24 hours a day. Instead of being busy and agitated with the illusory thoughts on the material plane elevate it to the super ecstatic thoughts and realizations that are experienced on the spiritual plane. The easiest and more powerful way of doing that in this most materialistic age is to chant the Hare Krishna mantra as much possible every day, especially in the early morning hours before we begin our work day. It goes like this:
Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare

Try it. You’ll love it! Guaranteed!
